Welcome to Kansas City South Rotary Club, a nonprofit organization in Kansas City, MO, proudly serving the city and the surrounding Grandview communities. Established in 1962, we have been steadfast in our mission to support local, regional, and international causes. With over 60 years of service, our 501(c)3 foundation is dedicated to donating money, time, and unwavering support.

Annual Senior Dinner

The Rotary Club of Kansas City South invites area seniors to join us each year for the Allen Meyer Senior Dinner. His dedication to Rotary's mindset of “Service Above Self” is honored through this event. This year, on Saturday, December 12, at the Armacost Car Museum in Grandview, students from Grandview High School will provide entertainment while guests are served a traditional holiday meal prepared by Simply Grand Kitchen & Creamery. Nearly 150 guests enjoy a delicious holiday meal, fellowship, and an afternoon celebrating the seniors in our community. This event is free, with a donation of nonperishable food or hygiene items to benefit Grandview Assistance Program (GAP). Funding for the dinner is made possible through proceeds raised at our annual Rotary Raffle. Each year, we look forward to making new connections and celebrating the warmth of the holiday season with the senior community in Kansas City South.

International Project
Through Rotary connections, member Dr. Elaine Strid and the Friends of Litein, the Rotary Club of Kansas City South is supporting access to safe, potable water in Litein, Kenya. What began as a project focused on bringing reliable water to the hospital has grown into something much bigger; working toward water access for the entire city.
This is Rotary in action: connections that cross borders, relationships built through handshakes, and people willing to put boots on the ground to turn an idea into lasting impact.

Helping put books into the hands of local students, the Cover to Cover program of the Grandview Education Foundation supports literacy and learning in our community. The Foundation is a valued Club member and community partner, and we’re proud to support their work and the students they serve.

Flourish
The Rotary Club of Kansas City South is proud to support Flourish: A Furniture Bank, helping local families turn empty spaces into safe, comfortable homes. Our club has volunteered hands-on with Flourish, including building dressers as a team that go directly to families in need.

Meals on Wheels
Sometimes service is as simple as showing up. Through Meals on Wheels, our members help deliver meals and a friendly connection to local seniors and neighbors who need them. Under the direction of Club member Frank Kurtz, our Club volunteers regularly lend a hand to this important community program. Our club has delivered thousands of meals, and smiles, thanks to this great opportunity to serve!
